Laser Snoring Treatment

Laser snoring treatment at Ai Beauty is a new type of non-invasive and pain free laser therapy that can effectively improve snoring and sleep quality. During the treatment, lasers will be used to heat up the tissue around the tongue and contract the collagen protein in the oral mucosa tissue, which can greatly reduce sleep apnea and snoring noise. The laser can also tighten soft tissue at the throat which will keep the airway open.

Certified by the Europe CE, China CFDA and US FDA

Snoring is a very common symptom of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB), occurring in more than 30% of adults and many children. The cause of snoring is that the airway is partial or fully blocked, and the air passes through quicker which makes the soft tissues such as the uvula and the lower jaw vibrate, producing snoring noise.

Er:YAG laser is a mild laser that gently changes the structure of soft tissue so as to improve the snoring and sleep quality. Laser energy penetrates into oral tissue, stimulates the contraction of collagen in the oral mucosal tissue, and tightens soft tissue at the throat, providing a better support to the uvula and airway which means a more open airway. The treatment results in a more open airway that allows more oxygen coming through, effectively reduces snoring and sleep apnea and improves sleep quality.

The laser wavelength is accurately optimised so that it will safely penetrate into the oral mucosal tissue and hence stimulates collagen proliferation and tighten the soft tissue at the back of the throat, restoring a widely open airway.

★Maintain a widely open airway

Laser light tightens the soft tissue at the throat, keeping the airway widely open.

★An open airway means more air in and less snoring

Laser treatment will contract the soft tissue at the throat and provide support to opening up the airway. A wider airway ensures more air passing through and less snoring.

Perform 3 courses of treatment within 6 weeks. Results usually last for 1 year. If needed, revisit the clinic and receive an additional treatment when the results begin to fade.

Normally, it does not cause pain or discomfort, therefore local anaesthesia is not required.

A simple way to check whether your sleep apnea is caused by narrow throat airway (obstructive sleep apnea) or blocked nasal passages: use nasal strips for 3 consecutive days. If no improvement has shown after 3 days of usage, it is likely caused by narrow throat airway (obstructive sleep apnea).
