Q7: Is ULTHERAPY® painless?
Most patients experience some discomfort during treatment — a warmth or brief sharp sensation as the ultrasound energy is delivered at depth. It’s temporary and only occurs during the energy pulses themselves. We discuss pain management at consultation and can apply topical anaesthesia beforehand if needed. After the session, most people feel nothing more than mild tenderness for a day or two.
Q8: Does ULTHERAPY® cause any downtime?
No. After the procedure, patients can resume work and life as usual. There is a slight possibility of swelling, which may continue through the next few days post-treatment. However, any swelling will fade very soon and will not cause interruption to daily activities.
Q9: How long after ULTHERAPY® will there be noticeable results?
There may be signs of improvement immediately after the procedure. Results will become obvious within 4-6 weeks as the body regenerates collagen. Q10: Who is a good candidate for Ultherapy?
A good candidate for Ultherapy is someone with some degree of laxity, to the point of looking, and often feeling, less firm. Typically, those in their 30s and older who have mild to moderate skin laxity are candidates.
